ICT Infrastructure Support Engineer

About the role

The ICT Infrastructure Support Engineer supports the technical delivery and maintenance of client IT infrastructure from the Lagos office and remotely. The role is hands-on with servers, networks and hardware, and client-facing, so that client SLAs and project requirements are met.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with installation, configuration and maintenance of physical and virtual servers (Windows Server, Linux), including patching, backups and monitoring of server health, storage, CPU and RAM
• Help manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, file and print services
• Support LAN/WAN, switches, routers, firewalls and VPNs remotely, and diagnose hardware issues such as desktops, laptops, printers and servers
• Assist with data center and telecom hardware configurations, preventive maintenance and IT asset inventory
• Serve as support contact for assigned clients under supervision, providing remote and onsite first-level support within SLA
• Support client projects such as system rollouts, upgrades and migrations, and train client staff virtually
• Prepare technical reports and health checks for clients, document configurations and network diagrams, and coordinate with vendors on procurement and escalations
• Ensure compliance with client IT security policies and best practices

Required profile

• 0-2 years of experience in ICT support, server or network environments
• Good troubleshooting, communication, report writing and client management skills
• Certifications such as CCNA, MCSA, CompTIA A+/N+ are an added advantage

Required skills

• Basic knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration
• Basic networking: TCP/IP, VLAN, routing, switching, firewalls
• Familiarity with backup tools and remote support tools such as TeamViewer and AnyDesk
• VMware and Hyper-V familiarity is an added advantage
