Human Resources Specialist

About the role

NET Microfinance Bank, a CBN-licensed, NDIC-insured financial institution, is hiring a Human Resources Specialist to support the full range of HR activities for on-site employees at its Abuja office. The role covers recruitment and onboarding, employee records, performance management and appraisals, and helps implement HR policies and employee benefits.

Key responsibilities

• Manage recruitment and onboarding processes
• Maintain employee records
• Coordinate performance management and appraisal activities
• Help implement HR policies and administer employee benefits
• Support personnel management, including handling employee queries and supporting conflict resolution in line with company guidelines
• Assist with compliance to local labor regulations and prepare HR reports
• Collaborate with management to enhance employee engagement and workplace culture

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or a related field
• Foundational knowledge of HR and HR management, with experience developing, implementing and maintaining HR policies aligned with organizational goals and legal requirements
• Ability to administer and explain employee benefits clearly and fairly
• Familiarity with Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices in the financial services or banking sector is an advantage
• Experience in a fast-paced or fintech/banking environment is a plus

• Personnel management, including accurate record keeping and day-to-day employee relations
• Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills, with attention to detail and confidentiality
• Proficiency in MS Office and HR information systems
