Human Resource Supervisor – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

The Human Resource Supervisor will lead daily HR activities for a pharmaceutical manufacturing company, ensuring talent management, employee engagement and compliance with Nigerian labour regulations. This position reports to the HR Manager and supports business objectives through effective HR processes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise end‑to‑end recruitment, from job posting to onboarding.
• Manage employee relations, disciplinary actions and grievance resolution.
• Coordinate training and development programmes to build employee skills.
• Ensure compliance with all Nigerian labour laws.
• Maintain accurate employee records, HR databases and documentation.
• Administer payroll, benefits, leave and compensation processes.
• Support the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
• Conduct HR audits and prepare reports for management and regulators.
• Promote a positive work culture and employee‑engagement initiatives.
• Handle exit processes, including interviews and off‑boarding.
• Collaborate with department heads on manpower planning and workforce optimisation.

Required profile

• B.Sc. or HND in Human Resources, Business Administration or related field.
• Minimum 5 years progressive HR experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Experience in pharmaceutical or manufacturing environments is an advantage.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and a commitment to fairness.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using SAP for HR processes.
