HSE Assistant

About the role

The HSE Assistant will support Addoz Integrated Resources Limited in maintaining a safe and compliant workplace across its operations in Abeokuta and the wider Ogun State region. You will work closely with the HSE Supervisor/Manager to implement health, safety and environmental policies.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing and monitoring HSE policies and procedures.
• Conduct routine safety inspections, identify hazards and report unsafe conditions.
• Support risk assessments and recommend control measures.
• Monitor proper use of PPE and compliance with safety procedures.
• Facilitate HSE inductions, toolbox talks and safety training sessions.
• Help investigate accidents, incidents and near‑misses.
• Maintain accurate HSE records, reports and documentation.
• Support emergency preparedness and response activities.

Required profile

• OND in Environmental Health, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, Sciences or related field.
• 1–3 years of HSE experience, preferably in manufacturing, agriculture, food processing or production.
• Knowledge of workplace health and safety practices, risk assessment and incident reporting.
• Relevant certifications such as NEBOSH or IOSH are an advantage.
• Strong observation, communication and reporting abilities.
• Safety‑conscious, proactive, disciplined and eager to learn.
