HR Business Partner – FMCG (Apapa, Lagos)

About the role

The HR Business Partner will work closely with manufacturing, technical and supply chain teams to develop and implement people strategies that drive performance, capability and engagement across plant and field operations.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with business leaders to align HR initiatives with operational goals.
• Drive workforce planning, talent management, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
• Support recruitment and deployment of technical, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain talent.
• Drive performance management processes and identify capability development needs across teams.
• Partner with HR teams to ensure seamless execution of onboarding, employee movements, payroll inputs, and other HR processes.
• Support culture‑building, employee engagement, and change management initiatives across operational sites.
• Ensure HR data accuracy, compliance, and process improvement across manufacturing locations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial Relations or a related field.
• Professional HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, HRCI) is an advantage.
• 10–12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 6 years supporting manufacturing, technical or supply chain operations.
• Strong experience with fleet management.
• Solid commercial experience managing HR processes in a plant setting.
• Strong stakeholder management, communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluency in Hausa language.
