Hotel General Manager – Luxury 5‑Star Property

About the role

The Hotel General Manager leads a five‑star luxury property, driving strategic direction, operational excellence, and financial performance. Reporting to ownership, the GM ensures the hotel delivers exceptional guest experiences while achieving sustainable profitability.

Key responsibilities

• Provide visionary leadership aligned with brand standards and ownership goals.
• Develop and execute business strategies to maximize revenue, market share, and profitability.
• Oversee all hotel operations—including Front Office, Housekeeping, Food & Beverage, Engineering, Security, and Sales—to ensure five‑star service delivery.
• Implement and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and drive continuous improvement.
• Monitor guest feedback, online reviews, and satisfaction metrics, resolving high‑level concerns with discretion.
• Manage annual budgets, P&L statements, and capital expenditure plans; control costs while maintaining service excellence.
• Lead, mentor, and develop department heads and staff, fostering a high‑performance culture.
• Collaborate with Sales & Marketing to drive occupancy, brand visibility, and revenue management strategies.
• Ensure compliance with local laws, health & safety regulations, and brand policies; oversee risk management and asset maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or accounting background is a plus.
• Proven track record managing a luxury five‑star hotel with full P&L responsibility.
• Strong financial acumen with experience in budgeting, forecasting, and profitability analysis.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
