Head, Off-Grid & Reactivation

About the role

A leading Nigerian electricity distribution company serving customers across the Southern zone is hiring a Head, Off-Grid & Reactivation. The role leads strategies to recover revenue, expand the customer base and recapture load by re-engaging customers who left the network and converting off-grid customers to grid supply, while strengthening retention.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and run re-engagement campaigns to win back exited customers, identify why they left and recover lost load (MW) and revenue
• Identify high-load off-grid customers, assess their energy profiles and costs, and lead negotiations to convert them to grid supply
• Build and track a structured pipeline of re-engagement and conversion opportunities, logging and progressing each prospect
• Engage customers regularly to understand their needs and build customised solutions
• Track performance (reactivated load, conversions, revenue) and report on trends, gaps and improvement opportunities
• Establish partnerships with developers, industrial clusters, estates and embedded generators to support off-grid conversion
• Produce periodic reports on recovery performance and ensure compliance with safety, health, environment, security and regulatory requirements

Required profile

• First degree in Economics, Business Administration, Engineering or another finance-related discipline
• Relevant postgraduate degree or professional qualification (e.g. MBA) is an added advantage
• At least 12-15 years of relevant experience, including at least 5 years in a management capacity

• Financial and business management, including revenue growth and load monetisation
• Knowledge of electricity distribution operations (network, load capacity, connections)

• Performance management of pipeline, MW, kWh and revenue KPIs
