Head of Resources Management (Professional)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Head of Resources Management to lead budgetary, financial, human resources and administrative functions for its Country Office in Abuja. Reporting to the Chief of Mission and working closely with regional and headquarters teams, the incumbent will ensure efficient resource management in support of IOM’s migration programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate all financial administration, including budgeting, accounting and financial reporting.
• Oversee human resources processes, procurement and logistics operations.
• Manage the country office’s administrative functions and ensure compliance with IOM policies.
• Collaborate with the Regional Resources Management Officer, Headquarters Department of Resource Management and the Global Shared Services Centre.
• Provide guidance and support to staff on resource‑related matters.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Management or a related field with at least seven years of relevant experience, or a university degree with nine years of experience.
• Professional certification such as CA, CPA, CIMA or ACCA is an advantage.
• Proven experience in financial administration, budgeting and accounting.
• Experience in human resources, procurement and logistics.
• Experience in emergency operations and monitoring/evaluation or audit is desirable.

Required skills

• Proficiency in using an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
