Head of Product - Fintech

About the role

CredPal, a financial technology company offering credit cards and investment solutions, is looking for a Head of Product to lead the development and expansion of its retail, credit, investment and bill payment products. The role sits in the Product & Engineering department, is full-time and hybrid, and suits a senior product leader who wants to drive innovation, optimise user experience and scale products.

Key responsibilities

• Lead growth-focused product strategies across the financial ecosystem, covering the full product lifecycle from ideation to launch, iteration and optimisation.
• Use analytics, customer insights and performance metrics to inform prioritisation and product decisions.
• Work with Product Managers, UX/UI designers and engineers to deliver seamless customer experiences.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Sales, Operations, Risk and Compliance teams on execution and regulatory alignment.
• Define and run go-to-market strategies and embed agile methods to improve speed, quality and responsiveness.
• Monitor market trends, user behaviour and competitors, and identify and scale monetisation opportunities.
• Build, mentor and lead a high-performing product team.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Finance or a related field; an MBA is a plus.
• 5+ years in product management, including at least 3 years in a leadership role in fintech or high-growth financial services.
• Proven experience building and scaling digital financial products in credit, payments and investments, with knowledge of the Nigerian market.
• Experience in product strategy, roadmap execution, go-to-market planning and leading cross-functional teams.

Required skills

• Data-driven product decision-making and UX research, A/B testing and customer feedback integration.
• Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
• Knowledge of regulatory compliance and risk management in fintech and credit products.
