Group Head, Credit Risk/Loan Officer

About the role

The Group Head, Credit Risk/Loan Officer will lead credit risk management and loan assessment functions for Mutual Alliance Mortgage Bank in Marina, Akwa Ibom. The role ensures robust risk analysis, regulatory compliance and accurate financial reporting across the bank.

Key responsibilities

• Understand the enterprise risk management framework and analyse all risk factors affecting the bank.
• Create monthly and annual reports to identify results, trends, and financial forecasts.
• Establish and implement financial reporting systems to comply with government regulations and legislation.
• Collaborate with auditing services to ensure proper compliance with all regulations.
• Understand budgets and financial plans for the company.

Required profile

• Minimum HND in Finance, Banking, Management or a related field; postgraduate or professional qualification (ACA) is an advantage.
• 3‑5 years of banking experience.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Required skills

• Preparation of management and annual accounts, and performance monitoring tools.
• Monthly financial statement analysis and variance reporting.
• Regulatory reporting to CBN and NDIC on a monthly, quarterly and bi‑annual basis.
• Budget planning and control.
• Analysis of fees, interest income, investment income, commissions and expenses.
