Food Server

About the role

The Food Server will deliver a stellar dining experience by taking orders, serving food and beverages, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a fast‑paced restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

• Participate fully in preparation before service and keep service equipment clean.
• Set up tables with linens, silverware, and glasses, and maintain table cleanliness throughout the shift.
• Take accurate food and drink orders using POS ordering software or order slips.
• Communicate order details to kitchen staff and deliver food and beverages to guests.
• Handle payment collection, provide change, and ensure prompt remittance.
• Present the menu, answer questions about portions, ingredients, and allergens, and manage unavailable items.
• Request and report customer feedback to the Head Waiter.
• Follow health code standards for food handling and participate in end‑of‑shift cleaning duties.

Required profile

• Minimum Senior Secondary School Certificate.
• At least 1 year of experience as a waiter/waitress in the hospitality industry.
• Proactive, flexible schedule (including weekends/evenings), warm and friendly demeanor.
• Strong communication skills and ability to handle tense situations with guests and coworkers.
• Neat, coordinated, organized and able to work independently.

Required skills

• Knowledge of health and food safety regulations.
• Experience using POS ordering software.
