Finance Officer - Healthcare & Diagnostics

About the role

A leading healthcare and diagnostics organisation in Lekki, Lagos, is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Finance Officer to support its financial operations and ensure sound financial management. The role covers financial reporting, budgeting, cash flow management, statutory compliance, accounts management and internal controls, and supports strategic decisions through financial analysis. It reports to the General Manager or CFO.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and management accounts, and support budgeting, forecasting and financial planning.
• Monitor cash flow and recommend ways to improve liquidity; manage accounts payable and receivable with timely reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory regulations.
• Implement and maintain internal controls, identify financial risks and support internal and external audits.
• Improve finance processes, support automation and continuous improvement, and develop best practices for accurate reporting.
• Support departmental managers by monitoring budgets and expenditure, supporting procurement and cost management, and providing financial analysis for strategic planning.
• Maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders and provide timely financial information.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or a related discipline.
• ICAN qualified or at an advanced/professional stage; ACCA or ANAN is an added advantage.
• 2-4 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in healthcare, diagnostics or a related industry.
• Good knowledge of Nigerian tax regulations and statutory compliance.

Required skills

• Advanced Microsoft Excel and accounting software and ERP systems.
• Analytical thinking, attention to detail, communication and ability to work under pressure.
