Finance Manager

About the role

The Finance Manager will lead the organisation's financial operations, strengthen controls, ensure statutory compliance and provide strategic insights to support sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, reporting and cash‑flow management.
• Oversee daily accounting, general ledger, accounts payable/receivable and month‑end/year‑end closing.
• Ensure compliance with IFRS, Nigerian tax laws and regulatory requirements.
• Develop and implement cost‑optimisation measures, financial policies and internal controls.
• Manage banking relationships, liquidity, working capital and financing arrangements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or related field.
• Professional qualification (ICAN, ACCA or equivalent); MBA or postgraduate finance qualification is a plus.
• 5–8 years progressive experience in finance, accounting and financial management.
• Proven experience supervising finance or accounting teams.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian financial regulations and tax requirements.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP and accounting software such as SAP, Oracle, Sage or QuickBooks.
• Solid understanding of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Ability to prepare accurate financial statements, dashboards and performance reports.
