Facility Cleaning Manager

About the role

A Facility Cleaning Manager is needed in Ikoyi, Lagos, reporting to top management. The role oversees the company's facilities cleaning operations, supervises cleaning staff and ensures high standards of cleanliness and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Help develop and oversee adherence to company policies, procedures and standards on facilities cleaning.
• Assist in training cleaning staff so they understand company policy, procedures and expectations.
• Supervise all cleaning staff on cleanliness standards and behaviour at work.
• Make sure staff have enough cleaning supplies and know how to use them.
• Carry out quality assurance checks, manage materials inventory and general equipment use.
• Evaluate employee performance, coach on the job and take disciplinary action when appropriate.
• Report incidents, procedure or safety violations to management and investigate customer complaints about sanitation.
• Recommend supplies and equipment purchases and liaise with outside contractors and services.

Required profile

• HND or BSc degree in a related field.
• 5+ years of experience as a cleaning manager, including supervisory experience in a facilities management or cleaning company.
• Experience supervising multi-location sites is an advantage.
• Good knowledge of cleaning materials and equipment for different types of cleaning.
• Ability to lead multiple teams, hands-on cleaning experience and coaching and mentoring skills.
• Knowledge of basic safety procedures, highly organised, resilient and able to work under pressure.
