Experienced Interior Design Architect

About the role

Branda is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Design Architect to design residential and commercial spaces in Lagos, Nigeria. The position is full time and project-based, with hybrid or on-site work depending on project needs. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for aesthetics, excellent space planning skills and solid interior design fundamentals.

Key responsibilities

• Develop interior concepts, mood boards, space plans and furniture layouts.
• Produce accurate 2D drawings, 3D models and realistic design visualisations.
• Select materials, finishes, furniture, colours and lighting.
• Balance aesthetics, functionality, comfort and practicality in every design.
• Collaborate with the design team, clients and contractors to refine concepts.
• Supervise project delivery in line with specifications.
• Support technical detailing, site coordination and project execution as required.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of relevant interior design experience, or a strong portfolio showing equivalent ability.
• Excellent understanding of space planning, proportions, interior aesthetics, furniture arrangements and materials.
• Residential or commercial interior design experience preferred; construction detailing, stakeholder management and site supervision experience are added advantages.
• Strong creativity, attention to detail, problem-solving skills and willingness to learn.

Required skills

• Ability to create professional mood boards, 2D layouts, 3D models and realistic renders.
• Proficiency in SketchUp, AutoCAD, Revit, 3ds Max, Enscape, V-Ray or equivalent tools.

Candidates must complete a mandatory screening test: designing a premium contemporary kitchen with a dimensioned 2D floor plan, two 3D views, a design concept and a portfolio of two projects.
