Senior Product Designer (Volunteer, 6 Months)

About the role

Havora is building a relationship platform that helps people find meaningful, long-term connections through compatibility, shared values and intentional introductions. It is looking for a Senior Product Designer to take ownership of design decisions, work at pace and help ship a product people enjoy using. This is a volunteer engagement of about 6 months, around 15 hours per week, fully remote.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the product design process from understanding user problems to final implementation.
• Translate product requirements, user stories and user journeys into clear, practical design solutions.
• Design intuitive mobile experiences, including user flows, wireframes, high-fidelity interfaces and interactive prototypes.
• Own and maintain the design system, reusable components and design consistency across the product.
• Work closely with the Product Manager and engineers so designs are understood and implemented correctly.
• Prepare design specifications and developer handoffs, review implemented features and fix design gaps with engineers.
• Take ownership of design priorities, timelines and deliverables, and make quick, informed design decisions.

Required profile

• Substantial, demonstrable experience designing and shipping real digital products, especially mobile apps.
• A strong portfolio of shipped products, not just mockups.
• Proven ability to lead design projects and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience working closely with product managers and software engineers.
• Ability to balance design quality with delivery speed and technical constraints.
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to explain and defend design decisions.

Required skills

• Advanced Figma, including components, auto layout, prototyping and design systems.
• UX research, interaction design, usability and mobile-first product design.
