Engineering Services Workshop Technician

About the role

Ultimum Limited, a fast‑growing beverage manufacturer in Nigeria, is seeking an Engineering Services Workshop Technician to support its production and engineering teams. The role involves assembling, testing, repairing, and fabricating machine tools and equipment in a dynamic workshop environment.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and maintain workshop machinery such as lathes, milling machines, CNC equipment, and welding tools.
• Assist engineers in designing, fabricating, and assembling prototypes and components.
• Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on workshop assets.
• Maintain accurate records of tool usage, material consumption, and equipment inventory.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and permit procedures, keeping the workshop clean and organized.
• Manage inventory of consumables, special jigs, and test equipment.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in production or maintenance, preferably in the food‑and‑beverage sector.
• Technical qualifications such as NABTEB or WAEC Technical.
• Valid welding certificate from a recognized training institute.
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and manuals.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and within a team.
