Elevator Operator / Building Attendant

About the role

The Elevator Operator / Building Attendant ensures safe and efficient elevator operation while maintaining the cleanliness and overall condition of high‑traffic areas within the building. You will interact with staff, visitors and the public, providing courteous assistance and reporting any issues promptly.

Key responsibilities

• Operate the elevator safely according to approved procedures, assisting passengers and monitoring load limits.
• Provide courteous assistance to elderly persons, people with disabilities, and visitors.
• Keep the elevator cabin clean and presentable, and maintain cleanliness in entrances, lobbies and high‑traffic zones.
• Monitor elevator for unusual sounds, vibrations, door problems, or other abnormalities and report faults immediately.
• Maintain an operation/incident log and cooperate with maintenance personnel during inspections.
• Observe general building conditions, report hazards, damaged fixtures, leaking pipes, faulty lights, broken tiles, doors or other defects.
• Direct visitors to the appropriate office, floor or facility and provide basic building information when required.

Required profile

• Minimum SSCE/WAEC or equivalent qualification.
• At least 2 years of experience in elevator operation, building attendant services or similar facility support roles.
• Basic computer literacy.
