Data Engineer – Infrastructure (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Data Engineer specialized in infrastructure to design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on a contract basis. The position is fully remote, allowing you to work from anywhere while collaborating with cross‑functional teams to ensure reliable, high‑quality data for analytics and operational use.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise data pipelines that ingest, transform, and load data from diverse sources.
• Implement and maintain ETL/ELT processes supporting data warehousing and analytics initiatives.
• Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all assets and systems.
• Monitor pipeline performance, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with data scientists, analysts, and other stakeholders to translate requirements into robust data solutions.

Required profile

• Proven experience with SQL, Python, or Scala for data engineering tasks.
• Hands‑on knowledge of data pipeline orchestration tools such as Apache Airflow or Spark.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their data services.
• Understanding of data modelling, warehousing concepts, and schema design.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and comfort working in a fast‑paced, collaborative environment.
