IT Officer

About the role

We are seeking an IT Officer to install, configure, and maintain computer systems, provide first‑line support, and manage design software for our engineering team. The role involves overseeing network infrastructure, data security, and coordinating with vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, networks, and peripherals (workstations, printers, plotters, servers).
• Provide first‑line technical support to staff, resolving hardware, software, and network issues promptly.
• Manage and troubleshoot design software (AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and ensure licenses are up to date.
• Maintain office network infrastructure, including LAN/WAN, Wi‑Fi, routers, and firewalls.
• Set up and manage data backup systems and ensure data security and integrity.
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, and cybersecurity protocols.
• Coordinate with external vendors for hardware/software procurement and repairs.
• Maintain an inventory of IT equipment and recommend upgrades as needed.

Required profile

• HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of experience in an IT support/officer role; experience in an architecture, engineering, or design firm is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of Windows and macOS, networking, and general troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with design/CAD software environments is a strong plus.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity best practices.
• Excellent problem‑solving ability and capacity to work independently.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Relevant certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, CCNA, etc.) are an added advantage.
