Credit Sales Team Lead

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Credit Sales Team Lead to drive our credit‑sales strategy across Lagos and Abuja. The role involves shaping sales initiatives, leading a high‑performing team and expanding our customer base in the financial sector.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement credit‑sales strategies to generate leads, close deals and increase revenue.
• Lead, coach and support the sales team, setting clear objectives and KPIs.
• Monitor performance, provide feedback and optimise sales processes.
• Identify new market opportunities and expand the credit‑sales footprint.
• Maintain strong relationships with key clients and partners to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
• Collaborate with marketing and product teams to align sales efforts with company goals.
• Conduct market research on trends, competitors and growth opportunities.
• Prepare regular credit‑sales reports and present insights to senior management.
• Stay updated on industry developments and drive innovation in sales practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of successful credit‑sales management experience, preferably in banking, financial houses or FinTech.
• At least 2 years leading a sales team with a proven record of meeting targets.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and data‑driven decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, competitive environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM software.
• Experience using sales‑management tools.
