Coordinator of Volunteers

About the role

The Coordinator of Volunteers will lead the recruitment, onboarding, and ongoing support of volunteers who contribute to CIELO’s programs and community initiatives. Working remotely on a part‑time basis, you will ensure volunteers have the training, information, and recognition they need to succeed.

Key responsibilities

• Recruit, screen, and onboard new volunteers.
• Coordinate volunteer schedules and match them with program needs.
• Maintain clear communication channels and provide regular feedback.
• Track volunteer participation and keep accurate activity records.
• Collaborate with staff to identify volunteer requirements and support community outreach.
• Develop and implement volunteer recognition initiatives aligned with CIELO’s mission.

Required profile

• Experience in volunteer management and training.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Background in community outreach and nonprofit environments.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and maintain detailed records.
• Interest in entrepreneurship, economic empowerment, or social impact.
• Proficiency with basic office software and online communication tools.
• Relevant education or training in social services, nonprofit management, or community development is a plus.
