Compensation & Rewards Administrator

About the role

Alpha Mead Group is seeking a Compensation & Rewards Administrator to join its HR team in Lagos. The role will oversee the design, implementation and administration of the company’s compensation structures and reward programmes, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness and compliance with Nigerian labour regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain salary scales, pay structures and reward programmes.
• Administer the monthly payroll cycle with 100% accuracy, handling deductions, bonuses and statutory contributions.
• Maintain employee records on the SeamlessHR HRIS, including payroll modules and automated reporting.
• Conduct salary benchmarking and market surveys to keep compensation competitive.
• Prepare compensation reports, dashboards and analytics for senior management.
• Collaborate with Finance and other departments on payroll budgeting and cost projections.
• Lead the annual salary review process, including merit increases, promotions and bonus allocations.
• Ensure all compensation practices comply with local labour laws and tax regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in compensation, rewards or payroll administration.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and statutory deductions (PAYE, pension, NHF, etc.).
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and attention‑to‑detail abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, data analysis, dashboards).
• Hands‑on experience with payroll software and HRIS platforms, especially SeamlessHR.
• Solid understanding of compensation structures, job evaluation and salary benchmarking.
