Civil Engineer – Road Asset Management & Corridor Infrastructure Expert

About the role

The successful candidate will join NTU International A/S’s core team delivering the EU‑funded Technical Assistance to ECOWAS in Transport Governance project. Based in Abuja, the role focuses on road asset management and corridor infrastructure to promote sustainable, smart, resilient and safe mobility across the ECOWAS region.

Key responsibilities

• Support the implementation of the EU‑funded transport governance programme in the ECOWAS region.
• Lead technical work on road asset management, performance‑based maintenance and corridor infrastructure projects.
• Analyse and report on technical data related to road networks and asset performance.
• Coordinate multi‑country or regional corridor initiatives and ensure alignment with regulatory frameworks.
• Prepare technical documentation, progress reports and stakeholder communications.

Required profile

• University degree in civil engineering, transport infrastructure or a related field, plus a Master’s degree.
• Fluency in English; working knowledge of French is an asset.
• Minimum 15 years of professional experience in road infrastructure, construction or civil engineering, including at least 5 years in planning, design, supervision or management of major road and corridor projects.
• Significant experience working in developing countries, preferably in Sub‑Saharan Africa.
