Civil Engineer – Road Asset Management & Corridor Infrastructure Expert

About the role

The Civil Engineer – Road Asset Management & Corridor Infrastructure Expert will support GIZ International Services in delivering technical assistance to ECOWAS on transport governance in West Africa. Based in Abuja, Nigeria, the role contributes to the development of sustainable, smart, resilient and safe mobility across the ECOWAS region.

Key responsibilities

• Provide expertise on road asset management and corridor infrastructure within the EU‑funded transport governance project.
• Assist in strengthening land, air and water transport regulatory frameworks for ECOWAS member states.
• Collaborate with regional partners and stakeholders to design and implement infrastructure solutions.
• Support data collection, analysis and reporting for project deliverables.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Experience in road asset management, corridor infrastructure or transport governance.
• Familiarity with West African transport contexts is an advantage.
