Chief Executive Officer & Executive Director (Nigeria)

About the role

RedotPay is seeking a senior leader to provide strategic direction and overall management of its Nigerian virtual asset service provider (VASP) operations. The role combines the responsibilities of a Chief Executive Officer and an Executive Director, ensuring regulatory compliance, operational resilience, and alignment with group objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Lead day‑to‑day management and execution of the entity’s VASP strategy, covering exchange, custody, transfers and related services, in full compliance with SEC Nigeria regulations.
• Oversee governance, risk management and compliance frameworks, integrating group policies on AML, fiat risk, business continuity and transaction monitoring.
• Maintain relationships with SEC Nigeria and other regulators, handling licensing, periodic reporting, audits and incident notifications.
• Drive financial performance, operational efficiency and a strong risk culture while protecting the entity’s reputation.
• Coordinate with group functions (Compliance, Risk, Technology, Finance) and report regularly to the local Board and group leadership on performance, risks and regulatory matters.
• Participate actively in Board meetings, contributing to strategic decision‑making, risk oversight and governance.

Required profile

• A first degree (or equivalent) in a relevant field, or a non‑relevant degree with at least six years of relevant post‑qualification experience.
• Minimum four years of post‑qualification experience in virtual assets, fintech, financial services, capital markets or related sectors; experience in Nigerian VASP/fintech operations or licensing is highly desirable.
• Full‑time availability; Nigerian citizenship preferred and NIN‑eligible; fit‑and‑proper with no adverse findings.
• Appointment subject to prior SEC approval as a Sponsored Individual / Principal Officer.
