Cashier – Customer Payments & Register Management

About the role
We are looking for an attentive Cashier to join our team in Lagos. You will be responsible for handling customer payments accurately and maintaining the cash register throughout each shift.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and process payments via cash, POS and other accepted methods.
- Issue receipts and ensure every transaction is recorded correctly.
- Balance the cash register at the start and end of each shift without discrepancies.
- Maintain daily transaction records and generate reports.
- Monitor and report any cash shortages, float discrepancies, or suspicious activity.
Required profile
- Minimum Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar customer‑facing role is an advantage.
- Strong numerical ability and high integrity in cash handling.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Honest, responsible, detail‑oriented and able to work under pressure.
- Professional appearance and conduct at all times.
