About the role
The Cash Officer will be the primary point of contact for handling all customer payments in a fast‑moving retail environment. You will ensure every transaction is recorded accurately and maintain the integrity of cash operations throughout each shift.
Key responsibilities
- Receive and process customer payments via cash, POS and other accepted methods.
- Issue receipts and ensure each transaction is properly documented.
- Balance the cash register at the start and end of every shift without discrepancies.
- Maintain daily transaction records and generate reports.
- Monitor and report any cash shortages, float discrepancies or suspicious activities.
Required profile
- Minimum Senior School Certificate Examination or equivalent.
- Previous experience as a cashier or in a similar customer‑facing role is an advantage.
- Strong numerical ability and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Honest, responsible and able to work under pressure.
Required skills
- Proficiency with POS systems.
