Business Development Specialist

About the role

The Business Development Specialist will drive growth for Digital Skills Centre by identifying new business opportunities, partnerships and enrollment channels. Working on‑site in Lagos, the role combines market research, lead generation and client relationship management to expand the institute’s reach across learners and corporate clients.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships and enrollment channels for training programs.
• Conduct market research to assess demand, competition and growth prospects.
• Generate, qualify and manage leads through calls, meetings, presentations and digital outreach.
• Maintain and update the sales pipeline, track performance metrics and prepare proposals.
• Collaborate with marketing to refine campaigns and provide feedback for product improvement.
• Coordinate closely with training and operations teams to ensure commitments are met and client expectations are managed.

Required profile

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data for business decisions.
• Excellent communication skills for presentations, client engagement and internal collaboration.
• Effective lead generation and pipeline management experience.
• Proven market research abilities to identify growth opportunities.
• Solid customer service skills to build long‑term relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Ability to work on‑site in Lagos, meet targets and thrive in a fast‑paced, results‑driven environment.
