Business Development Manager

About the role

A management consulting firm is looking for a proactive, results-oriented Business Development Manager to drive client acquisition, brand visibility and revenue growth across its consulting services. The role combines sales execution with strategic marketing initiatives to attract, convert and retain clients. The position is based in Lagos.

Key responsibilities

• Sales: identify and pursue new business opportunities across target markets
• Generate and convert leads into paying clients
• Prepare proposals, quotations and service presentations
• Negotiate and close deals in line with company guidelines
• Track and analyse marketing and sales performance metrics
• Build and maintain strong relationships with prospects and clients
• Ensure smooth onboarding and handover to delivery teams
• Gather client feedback to improve services and messaging

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications or a related field
• 3 to 5 years of experience in sales, marketing or business development
• Strong communication, persuasion and presentation skills
• Ability to work with targets and performance metrics
• High level of professionalism, integrity and accountability

Required skills

• Basic understanding of digital marketing tools and platforms
• Proposal preparation and negotiation
