Automotive Sales Executive

About the role

The Automotive Sales Executive will drive sales of automotive diagnostic tools and related equipment across Lagos and the wider West African market. You will work on‑site, engaging directly with workshops, fleet operators, dealerships and transport companies to generate leads, present solutions and close deals.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and develop new sales opportunities within the automotive sector.
• Generate qualified leads through field prospecting, referrals, networking, LinkedIn, email and phone outreach.
• Visit automotive businesses, conduct product presentations and live demonstrations.
• Understand customer needs and recommend suitable diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Prepare quotations, proposals and follow up throughout the sales cycle.
• Negotiate terms and convert opportunities into closed sales.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with workshops, fleet operators, dealerships and transport companies.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years proven sales experience in the automotive industry.
• Experience selling automotive products, equipment, parts, vehicles, diagnostic tools or related services.
• Strong understanding of automotive industry products and market dynamics.
• Demonstrated ability to generate leads, prospect, follow up and close sales.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills.
• Target‑driven, proactive and able to work with minimal supervision.
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel for client visits.
• Technical, engineering or mechanical knowledge is an advantage.
