Assistant Slickline Operator

About the role

We are looking for an Assistant Slickline Operator to support our drilling team in the preparation, mobilisation, operation and demobilisation of slickline equipment. This entry‑level position offers hands‑on experience in the mining and energy sector, working closely with senior operators on site.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the slickline operator with equipment preparation, rig‑up, operation and rig‑down.
• Support deployment and retrieval of slickline tools and downhole equipment.
• Prepare, inspect, clean and maintain slickline tools, fishing tools, pressure‑control equipment, wire and related components.
• Conduct pressure testing and functional testing of equipment before and during operations.
• Handle lubricators, sheaves, stuffing boxes and other slickline components safely.
• Monitor equipment performance during runs and report any abnormal conditions or safety concerns promptly.

Required profile

• Minimum of 2 years relevant experience.
• At least a diploma in a related technical field.
