Android Engineer

About the role

FairMoney is a mobile banking institution focused on credit for emerging markets, building a mobile banking platform and POS solution. As a Software Engineer - Android in the Technology Division, you will join engineers in Lagos and work remotely with colleagues around the world.

Key responsibilities

• Create, develop and test new features across the entire software development lifecycle
• Maintain high-quality standards, including code quality
• Share knowledge and mentor junior developers

Required profile

• 4+ years of professional experience in Android native development
• 4+ years of coding in Kotlin/Java
• 2+ years in pair programming, TDD and code reviews
• 2+ years writing unit tests, instrumented tests and end-to-end tests
• Ability to write clean, efficient, high-quality code
• Experience with multi-module apps, Clean Architecture, Jetpack Compose and Coroutines (or RxJava)
• Comfortable using AI-assisted development tools and knowing their limits
• Team player who can also work autonomously, proactive and driven to deliver results
