Accountant – Real Estate Finance

About the role

We are seeking a diligent Accountant to manage day‑to‑day financial operations for our real‑estate business in Lagos. The role involves preparing accurate financial statements, monitoring cash flow, and supporting strategic budgeting and planning.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain comprehensive records of income, expenses, assets, liabilities and all transactions.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements and management accounts.
• Monitor cash flow, budgets, expenditures and financial commitments.
• Ensure timely bank reconciliations and enforce strong financial controls.
• Coordinate tax preparation, filings and compliance with Nigerian regulations.
• Liaise with auditors, tax consultants, banks and regulatory authorities.
• Provide financial analysis, insights and recommendations to senior management.
• Supervise and mentor junior accounting staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• ICAN certification or membership (mandatory).
• 2–5 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in real‑estate or construction.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian accounting standards, taxation and statutory requirements.
