Accountant – Finance & Tax Specialist

About the role

The Accountant will manage the full spectrum of financial and tax functions for GV Alliance Partners Limited, ensuring compliance with Nigerian regulations and delivering accurate financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain accurate books of account, prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in line with applicable standards.
• Manage statutory obligations such as PAYE, VAT, WHT, CIT, pension, NSITF and ensure timely remittance and documentation.
• Prepare tax computations, reconciliations, support tax planning and ensure compliance with changing tax legislation.
• Develop budgets, forecasts, cash‑flow plans and perform bank, vendor and ledger reconciliations.
• Coordinate annual audits, liaise with external auditors, tax consultants and regulatory authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• ICAN or ACCA certification (mandatory).
• 4–7 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in tax consulting, audit or advisory firms.
• Strong knowledge of Nigerian tax laws and statutory compliance.

Required skills

• High proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with accounting/ERP software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Odoo or Microsoft Dynamics.
