Service Manager – Earthmoving & Mining

About the role

Liebherr Nigeria Ltd. is seeking an experienced Service Manager to lead after‑sales service operations for Earthmoving and Mining equipment across Nigeria. The role focuses on delivering high‑quality service, maximizing equipment uptime, and driving customer satisfaction while supporting business growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all field and workshop activities, ensuring safe, timely, and high‑quality execution.
• Serve as the primary customer contact, resolving issues efficiently.
• Lead, coach, and monitor service teams to maintain performance standards.
• Provide technical guidance for troubleshooting and major repairs.
• Ensure parts availability and optimise service planning.
• Oversee warranty handling and drive continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities to increase service revenue and warranty recovery.
• Control costs and track performance against KPIs.
• Ensure compliance with HSE standards and company policies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, electrical or related engineering.
• 7–10 years of experience in heavy equipment service, preferably in mining or earthmoving.
• Proven experience managing efficient service teams and operations.
• Strong customer‑orientation and ability to travel frequently within Nigeria.
• Fluent English communication skills.
