Senior Manager Finance Accounting

About the role

BARQLY is scaling a high‑velocity food‑delivery logistics platform in Nigeria. We need a senior finance professional who can design, own, and optimise the entire financial engine of our multi‑sided marketplace.

Key responsibilities

• Own the flow of funds between customers, restaurants, and riders, handling high‑volume reconciliations across multiple payment gateways.
• Provide real‑time, high‑fidelity unit‑economics insights, tracking delivery margin, rider incentives, fuel burn rates and operational overhead.
• Manage end‑to‑end bookkeeping, month‑end close, tax compliance, regulatory filings and fiscal reporting.
• Govern capital by controlling spend, negotiating with vendors and ensuring every Naira drives growth.
• Model and mitigate market volatility, monitoring inflation, fuel price hikes and FX fluctuations on rider incentives and merchant commissions.

Required profile

• Proven experience in a fast‑growing Nigerian startup, comfortable with high‑pressure, high‑volume environments.
• Hands‑on mindset; willing to roll up sleeves and troubleshoot payment issues at any hour.
• Strong analytical ability to turn operational data into competitive advantage.
• Ownership mentality with a focus on cash‑flow protection and cost efficiency.
