Science Instructor – Molecular Biology & Biotechnology

About the role

We are seeking full-time Science Instructors to join DNALC Nigeria, a leading molecular biology education centre located on the campus of Godfrey Okoye University in Enugu. In this on-site position you will deliver hands-on lessons in molecular biology and biotechnology to secondary and college students, fostering an engaging and safe laboratory environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver clear, interactive lectures and practical sessions on molecular biology and biotechnology concepts.
• Prepare, organise and maintain laboratory materials, equipment and reagents for each class.
• Supervise students during experiments, ensuring safety and accurate data collection.
• Monitor student performance, provide feedback and troubleshoot experimental issues.
• Contribute to curriculum development and collaborate with fellow instructors to enhance teaching quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a scientific discipline (B.Sc. required; M.Sc. or PhD is a plus).
• Prior experience in laboratory work or teaching preferred.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety standards.
• Effective communication and teaching abilities.
• Attention to detail, organisational skills and basic computer proficiency for reporting.
