Home Tutor for Primary 3 in Ikeja, Lagos

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated home tutor to support a Primary 3 student in Ikeja, Lagos. The student is a slow learner who needs focused assistance in basic mathematics, English language, and phonics, following the Nigerian curriculum.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 2‑hour tutoring sessions on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays at 4:00 PM at the client’s home.
• Prepare lesson plans that cover basic mathematics, English language, and phonics.
• Monitor the student’s progress and adjust teaching methods to address learning gaps.
• Provide regular feedback to the parent on performance and areas for improvement.

Required profile

• Experience teaching Primary 3 students or similar age group.
• Familiarity with the Nigerian curriculum and primary education standards.
• Patience and ability to work with a slow learner.
• Availability to work the specified days and times.

Required skills

• Knowledge of basic mathematics concepts for primary level.
• Proficiency in teaching English language and phonics.
• Ability to create engaging, age‑appropriate lesson materials.
