Relationship Manager

About the role

The Relationship Manager will drive loan growth by identifying, sourcing, and onboarding eligible borrowers for Retrust Microfinance Bank. You will promote the bank's loan products, manage customer relationships, and ensure timely repayment while maintaining portfolio quality.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and onboard eligible borrowers to meet loan targets.
• Market and promote the bank's loan products and financial services.
• Conduct credit analysis, loan appraisal, and make loan recommendations.
• Monitor loan performance, ensure timely repayments, and carry out recovery activities.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage repeat business.
• Cross‑sell additional bank products and services.
• Prepare accurate loan and portfolio performance reports in line with credit policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor's Degree or HND in Banking & Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Accounting, Marketing or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in credit, lending, relationship management or business development within a micro‑finance or financial institution.
• Strong knowledge of credit analysis, loan appraisal, and loan recovery processes.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and relationship management abilities.
• Proven ability to meet loan disbursement, recovery and portfolio quality targets.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
