Project Manager

About the role

Wemabod Limited, a leading property development and management company in Nigeria, is seeking a Project Manager to lead the end‑to‑end delivery of construction and redevelopment projects. The role involves planning, technical coordination, execution, and continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with scope, budget, timelines, quality, and safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead planning, coordination, execution and delivery of construction projects from inception to completion.
• Develop, monitor and manage detailed project programmes, milestones and critical paths.
• Review and coordinate architectural, civil, structural and MEP drawings/specifications for constructability and compliance.
• Provide technical supervision and engineering guidance during execution.
• Manage contractors, subcontractors, consultants and vendors; conduct site meetings and progress reviews.
• Review contractor claims, variations, extensions of time and progress valuations.
• Monitor project costs, support cost‑control initiatives and work with Quantity Surveyors and Finance on budgeting, BOQs and cash‑flow.
• Carry out regular site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and compliance with specifications.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, regulatory authorities and utility providers to secure approvals.
• Prepare project reports, executive updates, presentations and technical documentation for management review.
• Identify and mitigate risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Required profile

• Proven experience managing construction projects from planning through handover.
• Strong knowledge of architectural, civil, structural and MEP specifications.
• Ability to coordinate and supervise contractors, consultants and multidisciplinary teams.
• Solid understanding of budgeting, cost control and cash‑flow monitoring.
• Familiarity with HSE regulations and regulatory approval processes.
