About the role
The MEAL Coordinator will lead the Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability and Learning (MEAL) team in Abuja, supervising MEAL Activity Managers for the Northeast and Northwest regions. Reporting to the Deputy Country Director – Programs, the role works closely with all programme departments to ensure high‑quality data collection, analysis and reporting.
Key responsibilities
- Contribute to the development and annual review of a multi‑year MEAL strategy aligned with organisational priorities.
- Coordinate self‑assessments of MEAL systems at the grassroots level and translate findings into actionable improvements.
- Support the operationalisation of the MEAL action plan, ensuring alignment with strategic and programmatic priorities.
- Assist in determining resource needs for MEAL activities in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Propose research topics in coordination with technical leads and headquarters.
- Oversee the preparation of regular monitoring reports, evaluations and learning briefs.
Required profile
- National candidate with proven experience in MEAL coordination or similar humanitarian monitoring roles.
- Strong analytical abilities and experience supervising technical staff.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with programme, finance and operations teams.
