About the role
The Instrumentation & Control Maintenance Engineer ensures the reliability, accuracy, and availability of all instrumentation, control, and automation systems within a power plant. The role focuses on minimizing downtime, optimizing maintenance response, and supporting safe, efficient plant operations.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain high availability and performance of I&C, automation, and control systems.
- Execute routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance activities.
- Diagnose and resolve I&C faults promptly to reduce MTTR.
- Apply root‑cause analysis to recurring issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support initiatives to improve MTBF and overall equipment lifecycle cost.
- Manage I&C spares, tools, and maintenance infrastructure.
- Prepare maintenance reports and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth plant operation.
- Adhere to safety procedures, OEM recommendations, and quality standards.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree or HND in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Instrumentation & Control, Computer Engineering/Science or related field.
- 3‑5 years of relevant experience in the power industry.
- Professional certification such as COREN is an advantage.
