Reservoir Engineer – Upstream Oil & Gas

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Reservoir Engineer to lead the analysis and optimization of our hydrocarbon assets. The role focuses on monitoring reservoir performance, supporting field development, and delivering accurate reserves evaluations.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze reservoir performance using geological, petrophysical, and production data to optimize hydrocarbon recovery.
• Monitor reservoir pressure, fluid behavior, and production trends to identify anomalies or performance issues.
• Provide technical input for field development planning, including well placement, drilling, and completion strategies.
• Collaborate with geoscience, drilling, and production teams to integrate subsurface and surface development plans.
• Develop and maintain static and dynamic reservoir models to forecast production and optimize field development.
• Conduct sensitivity and scenario analyses to support decision‑making and risk management.
• Perform reserves estimation, classification, and periodic updates in compliance with industry standards.
• Identify, assess, and mitigate subsurface, reservoir, and production risks, ensuring compliance with HSE policies and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in petroleum engineering, geology, or geophysics.
• Master’s degree in a subsurface‑related discipline is highly desirable.
• Membership or affiliation with professional bodies such as SPE, NAPE, AAPG, or NIG is an advantage.
• 7–9 years of progressive experience in reservoir engineering and upstream E&P operations, with strong exposure to marginal fields.
