Female Home Tutor for JSS 1 – Lagos

About the role

A family in Lekki Phase 1, Lagos is seeking a qualified female home tutor to provide one‑on‑one lessons for a JSS 1 student. The role focuses on improving the student’s performance in General Mathematics and Basic Sciences through regular home sessions.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver two hours of focused tutoring each session, covering the Nigerian secondary school curriculum for Mathematics and Sciences.
• Conduct lessons on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 5:00 PM at the client’s residence.
• Assess the student’s progress and adapt teaching methods to address areas where the student is falling behind.
• Prepare simple practice exercises and review homework to reinforce learning.

Required profile

• Female tutor, as preferred by the client.
• Experience teaching Junior Secondary School (JSS 1) students, preferably with a background in the Nigerian curriculum.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the specified schedule.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of General Mathematics for JSS 1.
• Proficiency in Basic Sciences topics covered at the JSS 1 level.
