About the role

The Event Sales Manager will drive revenue by selling event spaces, meetings, conferences and social functions at the upcoming Hyatt Regency Lagos Ikeja. You will build strong client relationships, manage bookings from inquiry to execution, and coordinate closely with hotel operations to ensure flawless events.

Key responsibilities

  • Identify and generate new business opportunities for events, conferences, weddings and corporate meetings.
  • Manage incoming inquiries, convert leads into confirmed bookings and conduct site inspections.
  • Develop customized event proposals, negotiate contracts and present hotel facilities to potential clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (banquet, catering, operations) to ensure successful event execution.
  • Maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners and agencies.
  • Achieve and exceed sales targets and revenue goals.
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activities to adjust sales strategies.

Required profile

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, Business Administration or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of experience in hotel sales, event management or the hospitality industry.
  • Strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.
  • Ability to multitask and manage multiple events simultaneously.
  • Customer‑focused mindset with attention to detail.
