English Teacher – Elementary Grades

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic English Teacher to join a growing school in Abuja. The successful candidate will inspire young learners and deliver engaging lessons that build strong foundational English skills across elementary grade levels.

Key responsibilities

• Teach English language to assigned elementary grades.
• Deliver lessons in grammar, reading comprehension, vocabulary, and creative writing.
• Develop lesson plans aligned with the school curriculum.
• Assess and monitor pupils’ academic progress.
• Foster a positive and engaging classroom environment.
• Support students’ overall literacy development.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in English Language (English Education preferred).
• Proven experience teaching at the elementary/grade school level.
• Strong knowledge of English language concepts and teaching methodologies.
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
• Passion for working with young learners.
