Engineering Manager (Identity)

About the role

We are looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the Identity squad, responsible for building and maintaining reliable identity, authentication and KYC solutions that power our mobile‑banking products across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and develop a high‑performing engineering squad, fostering ownership, collaboration and continuous improvement.
• Provide technical direction for identity, authentication, KYC and related backend systems.
• Translate business, regulatory and risk requirements into secure, scalable technical solutions.
• Design, develop and deliver resilient distributed systems using micro‑service and event‑driven architectures.
• Ensure high standards for architecture, code quality, testing, security, reliability and overall engineering practices.
• Support engineers in solving complex technical challenges and making sound decisions.
• Manage team performance, hiring, growth and skill development.
• Monitor system performance, identify improvement areas and drive continuous technical enhancements.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software engineering experience, primarily in backend development.
• 2+ years of experience managing software engineering teams.
• Strong hands‑on experience designing, building and operating scalable production systems.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Experience working in cross‑functional teams with Product, Risk and Compliance.
