Engineering Manager

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Manager to lead and strengthen our engineering function while remaining deeply involved in technical execution. The role blends strong engineering judgement, people leadership, architectural thinking, and hands‑on development.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership across engineering teams and drive architectural decisions to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and maintainable.
• Review technical designs, guide engineers in selecting appropriate approaches, and establish coding standards and development principles.
• Remain actively involved in software development, debugging, code reviews, and system improvement.
• Collaborate with product managers and business stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable technical solutions and support planning, prioritisation, and delivery.
• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering team members, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and technical excellence.
• Support recruitment, onboarding, and growth of engineering talent.
• Ensure system reliability, scalability, security, and performance through testing, monitoring, and documentation.
• Continuously improve engineering workflows and processes for efficiency and quality.

Required profile

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with proven leadership of engineering teams.
• Strong background in backend or full‑stack development and designing scalable production systems.
• Deep understanding of software architecture, system design, and engineering best practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Proficiency with modern development workflows, CI/CD, testing, and deployment practices.
