Electrical/Solar Engineer

About the role

Swift Consulting is looking for a detail‑oriented Electrical/Solar Engineer to join its team in Ibadan. The role focuses on designing, installing, testing, commissioning and maintaining solar photovoltaic (PV) systems as well as broader electrical installations for residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop solar PV and electrical systems, preparing technical drawings, system layouts and project documentation.
• Conduct site surveys, load assessments and feasibility studies to determine project viability.
• Supervise installation, testing and commissioning activities, ensuring compliance with electrical codes and safety regulations.
• Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting and maintenance of installed systems.
• Prepare technical reports and project documentation for clients and internal stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering or a related field.
• 1–2 years of hands‑on experience with solar PV system design, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of solar components such as inverters, batteries and electrical distribution systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
